Welcome and thank you for stumbling upon us, either intentionally or accidentally. Thin Place Trails exists to help ordinary people discover the extraordinary presence of God in everyday life. Inspired by the rich traditions of Celtic Christianity and spirituality, we create resources that invite you to slow down, pray deeply, and walk with Christ through the rhythms of the liturgical year.
Just who do you think you are, might be the question going through your mind at this very moment. Or, perhaps, what right or authority do you have to be here? The answer is, we’re ordinary people just like you. We’re lay individuals who feel the pull to slow down and enjoy the walk with Christ through life. At this time, this is a passion project for us and we have regular day jobs. To be honest this is what makes Thin Place Trails so special, it’s a path that we all walk as we try to meander our way through life. We hope that over time this will be a resource for Christians of all walks of life, for believers and non-believers alike, regardless of which branch of the Christian family tree we find ourselves on.

Whether you're exploring prayer beads, developing a Rule of Life, following one of our Trail Guides, or simply looking for a quiet place to encounter God, each resource is designed as a companion for the journey. We believe faith is formed not only on mountaintops but also along well-worn paths, around kitchen tables, beside weathered stone walls, and in the quiet moments where heaven seems just a little closer to earth.
Our goal and mission is Christian Formation within a Celtic context and flavor. We offer prayer beads, starting with Anglican Rosaries but will follow with other prayer bead forms, hand assembled and hopefully other resources that we have found helpful and useful in our walk with Christ which we hope you will too. Christian Formation, the desire to be formed in the image of Christ, happens through our jour
ney in life, it is forming our head, heart, and hands to be Christ’s. Every resource will hopefully be useful as we form ourselves to reflect Divine Love.

The Celtic Christians spoke of "thin places"—those sacred places and moments where the distance between heaven and earth feels remarkably small. Our hope is that every trail, prayer, and practice helps you recognize those places in your own life, cultivating a steady rhythm of returning to God, worshiping wholeheartedly, and going into the world as Christ's hands and feet.
This is why we have chosen a Celtic context and flavor to view Christian Formation. Yes we are proud of our Celtic heritage and roots, predominantly from Scotland, but it is the idea of Thin Places that comes from Celtic spirituality that calls us to this work. The idea that the distance between heaven and earth can be so infinitesimally small draws our hearts to the very hope of discovering these Thin Places.
So lace up your boots, take a deep breath, and begin the journey.
